This power search enables you to obtain species lists from the BISON-M
database based on a variety of criteria.
Three kinds of criteria are available:
- Data codes - Restrict your search based on codes for legal status,
habitat, distribution, and more.
- Species (coming soon) - Focus your search to only include results that match your
species of interest.
- Free Text Search (coming soon) - Enter words or phrases of interest,
and power search will look for matches in species accounts fields
such as references, comments, etc.
Conducting a power search can be as easy as:
- Add criteria to your search.
- Execute your search.
Power search is also flexible so it can support a more interactive workflow,
such as searching within results:
- Add criteria to your search.
- Execute your search.
- Review the search results.
- Edit your search criteria to tailor the results.
- Go back to step 2 and repeat as desired.
